Retired Lt. Col. of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic, Andrei Marochko, said Ukrainian units would not be able to carry out a full-scale offensive within two weeks due to unfavorable weather conditions.
“Adverse weather conditions will not allow the enemy to carry out large-scale offensive operations for at least two weeks,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Marochko also noted that an offensive is unlikely in the Kupyansk and Krasno-Limansk directions. Due to weather conditions, full-fledged aerial reconnaissance is impossible, and the muddy road does not allow the use of heavy armored vehicles.
Moreover, according to him, in the event of an attack, the Ukrainian armed forces are forced to use significant means due to the serious reinforcement of Russian positions.
The day before, Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said that the Ukrainian armed forces had launched a counteroffensive in the Bakhmut, Maryinsky, Avdeevsky and Liman directions.
