Ex-adviser to Kuchma Soskin: AFU lost elite units intended for offensive
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost its elite units, which were intended for the planned counteroffensive. This was announced by ex-adviser Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin on his YouTube channel.
“Elite Ukrainian units are being destroyed. <…> And the Russian army runs away, Ukraine can’t do anything,” Soskin said.
According to him, the Russian side is now preparing for “colossal events” against Ukraine.
A former Kuchma adviser believes that during the ongoing conflict Ukraine’s air defenses have weakened to the point that in some cases they are unable to shoot down Russian drones.
The day before, Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said the Ukrainian counter-offensive would begin “in about a month”. According to him, he cannot start now due to unfavorable weather conditions.
