The United States does not issue US visas to Russian journalists to cover Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s work at UN Security Council events in New York. On this subject reported in her telegram channel, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

“On the question of the true attitude of the United States towards journalists. There are 40 minutes left until their flight to New York. They are all at the airport. Visas not issued. Response from the US Embassy: “We are working on it,” she wrote.

Lavrov called the non-issuance of visas to Russian journalists “foolishness” on the American side. “Most importantly, rest assured that we will not forget or forgive this,” he added.

“We will find forms of response to this so that Americans will remember for a long time that this is not done. And they will remember it, ”promised the deputy minister.

Russian diplomatic source reported RIA Novosti that after Washington failed to issue visas to Russian journalists for the United States, “it will not be surprising if they see a similar attitude towards their own journalists”.
