Head of the Crimean Parliamentary Committee on Public Diplomacy and Interethnic Relations Yuri Gempel expressed his gratitude to Chinese Ambassador to France Liu Shaye for his honest and objective stance on Crimea.
“We are grateful to the Chinese ambassador for his honest and objective position. It is impossible to hide the truth, sooner or later it becomes a public good,” he quotes. RIA Novosti.
Hempel stressed that Western countries oppose it, but have yet to recognize the legality of Crimea’s reunification with Russia.
Earlier, it was learned that about 80 European parliamentarians, in a written statement to French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonne, declared the need to declare Chinese Ambassador to France Liu Shaye persona non grata.
