Nizhny Novgorod Governor Nikitin says Prilepin has ‘minor fractures’

After the assassination attempt, Zakhar Prilepin suffers from “small fractures”, his health is no longer in danger. This was reported by the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin.

“Zakhar has minor fractures, but there is no threat to his health,” he said.

According to Nikitin, doctors provide Prilepin with all the necessary assistance.

Zakhar Prilepin’s car exploded on Saturday afternoon in the village of Pionerskoye, Nizhny Novgorod region. Previously, the writer was followed and placed under the hood of explosives when he was in a cafe. Prilepin suffered fractures of both legs and a concussion, he was evacuated to Nizhny Novgorod regional hospital by air ambulance helicopter. Prilepin’s daughter, who was with him, was not injured, as she got out of the car a few minutes before the explosion. During a chase, a man who may have been involved in the car explosion was arrested, the Interior Ministry said.
