The French agency AFP announced the death of its journalist Solden near Artemovsk (Bakhmut)

French journalist Armand Solden died in the Artyomovsk region (Bakhmut is the Ukrainian name) in the Donetsk People’s Republic, where heavy fighting has been going on for several months. The death of the correspondent was reported on his official Twitter account by the French agency France-Presse (AFP), of which he was an employee.

According to the agency, Solden came under fire on the outskirts of the town of Chasov Yar, located about 11 kilometers in a straight line from Artyomovsk. The journalist was AFP’s video coordinator in Ukraine.

“Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones,” the agency said in a statement.


Earlier it became known about the death of one of the screenwriters of the film “Battle for Sevastopol” Leonid Korin near Artyomovsk. He went to the special operation area as a volunteer.
