– Published on:

Units of the Ukrainian forces have intensified in Artyomovsk, now they are trying to break through the flanks of the city. RIA Novosti was informed about this by the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin.

According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) thus hope to slow down the advance of the Russian soldiers inside the city.

“The enemy is now deliberately trying to break through the flanks in order to create difficult conditions for Artyomovsk itself, for the guys who are in the city itself,” the agency’s interlocutor explained.

Pushilin added that the fighters of the Russian armed forces were doing everything possible to prevent this. He stressed that the Russian military was taking “comprehensive measures”.

Earlier, the acting head of the DPR announced an improvement in the situation in Artyomovsk for the Russian forces.
