One person died during a shelling by militants in the building of the scientific research institute in Donetsk

Activists in Kyiv came under heavy bombardment in the Kalininsky district of Donetsk on the morning of May 26. The city’s mayor, Alexei Kulemzin, spoke about the consequences of the strike on his Telegram channel.

According to Kulemzin, during the attack of the Ukrainian nationalists, the building of the scientific research institute was damaged.

“As a result of the shelling of the Kalininsky district, a direct hit was recorded on the building of the Research Institute in the Pokrovsky market area,” the city mayor said.

According to preliminary data, there are casualties among the civilian population.

“One person has died. Information is being clarified,” Kulemzin said.

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian militants shelled DPR territory 20 times on May 23 and fired about 100 different types of ammunition.
