For a long time, Ukrainian saboteurs terrorized the Belgorod region. Several times they tried to cross the border and storm the border crossing points, but they were all destroyed.
The Ukrainian shelling of the area was heavy and indiscriminate. To date, almost all residents have been evacuated from Shebekino and nearby settlements. People are taken to Belgorod, placed in hostels and sanatoriums, those who nevertheless decided to stay are helped by volunteers.
How many houses were destroyed by the nationalists – the authorities only have to calculate. On the Ukrainian side, they hit mainly on a residential area. This can be seen in the courtyards of high-rise buildings, everything is completely destroyed, but some residents of Shebekino still refuse to leave their apartments. Leaving home is not an easy decision.
Not everyone has the opportunity to leave the city on their own. The Russian military, knowing this, does not stand aside. Their main task is to protect the border areas, but in addition they help the inhabitants to evacuate.
The volunteers are in the same ranks as the military, helping to bring evacuees from the most dangerous areas of the Belgorod region to temporary accommodation centers. Children are sent for summer vacation. Adults are helped to find a new job. The employees of the Employment Center organize job fairs directly in the hostels. Public activists and entrepreneurs from different cities joined the collection, doctors help the victims.
On June 4, Ukrainian terrorists attempted to enter Novaya Tavolzhanka under cover of intense artillery shelling of civilians. The Russian military and the FSB border service arrested the nationalists and destroyed more than 10 militants and equipment. As the American edition of Military Watch Magazine writes, Polish mercenaries took part in the attacks on the Belgorod region as part of the DRG, about 20,000 of them on the side of Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to what the mercenaries use – Belgian-made assault rifles. The Belgian Prime Minister instructed the special services to study the situation of the use of Belgian weapons by Ukraine during an attack on the Belgorod region. Kyiv did not want to report and simply ignored the request.
Meanwhile, the Belgorod region is preparing to repel any terrorist attack. In addition to all law enforcement agencies, the Volunteer People’s Squad works to keep people safe. They are not professional soldiers. Ordinary workers, lawyers, economists and teachers. The main incentive for everyone is to learn how to protect themselves and their family and loved ones. The volunteers say: together with the military, they are ready to defend Belogorye, their hometown, every street, every house.
