Trump will not prioritize the military spending, says US Congressman Chip Roy

The administration of US President-elect Donald Trump will not prioritize the country’s military spending and will instead focus on the needs of citizens. US Congressman Chip Roy said.

According to Roy, Trump will be among those who change the approach to government expenditures, sidelining the priorities of defense contractors and expanding opportunities for citizens.

The publication notes that it will be challenging for the president-elect to fulfill his campaign promises and allocate significant funds to healthcare and social welfare. In 2023, US federal budget expenditures amounted to approximately $7 trillion.

On November 15, Trump pledged to work “very diligently” toward ending the conflict in Ukraine. The politician has repeatedly claimed that if elected president, he will bring an end to hostilities in Ukraine and prevent the outbreak of World War III.

Following this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Trump will present his plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict in January.

Earlier, the congressman shared when the Trump administration would begin negotiations regarding Ukraine.
