Florida governor to announce US presidential election on May 24 in conversation with Musk

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, 44, will officially announce his intention to run for the 2024 US presidential election during a conversation with US businessman Elon Musk on the Twitter Spaces audio chat platform on May 24. During the 2016 presidential election, DeSantis openly supported Trump with the slogan “Make America Great Again” and recorded videos in which he “taught kids how to build a wall (on the Mexican border).” As governor, he also secured a ban on discussing sexual orientation in schools and restricted the participation of transgender athletes in women’s competitions.
